Padron 1964 Anniversary Series
The Padrón 1964 Anniversary Series™ line was introduced in 1994 to commemorate our company’s 30th anniversary. This line consists of nine sizes that are all available in natural and maduro wrappers. All tobacco used in this limited production series is aged for four years, creating a smooth and complex flavor. In honor of the age-old Cuban tradition of box pressing cigars, the 1964 Anniversary line was introduced as a box-pressed series. For the protection of our customers we have introduced measures to safeguard against counterfeiting with a specially designed double band featuring an individually numbered guarantee label. Jorge L. Padrón has outdone himself by creating a limited-edition sampler box featuring the all-new "A"-sized Padrón 1964 Anniversary Series Cigar.
The "A," which measures 8 3/8” x 50, is joined by a Padrón 1964 Anniversary Series Exclusivo, an Imperial, a Torpedo and a Diplomatico. Each cigar features the distinctive Padrón wrapper.
The "A" is the longest Anniversary Padrón has ever produced, and it's the most difficult cigar in the line to make in quantity due to its size. Padróns are made with Cuban-seed Nicaraguan tobacco, which tends to produce small leaves. That yields many leaves for smaller cigars, such as the 5 1/2-inch-long Exclusivo, but very few of the large leaves required for the massive "A."
Sampler includes 1 each of Exclusivo, Torpedo, Imperial, Diplomatico and "A".
